Hi,
I have an MSI A78M-E35 V2 motherboard and I updated the bios from 6.10 to 6.40 and it finished and restarted my PC and now it will turn on and things like mouse switch on but nothing on the screen. I've tried resetting CMOS but nothing.

Specs:
Asus GTX 750Ti
AMD A6-7400k
MSI A78M-E35 V2
Corsair VS 450 PSU

Have you checked the BIOS setting for any changes that may have automatically happened during the update?
Check to see if you have a CSM boot feature which should boot it in (Legacy mode)
Also disable secure/fast boot if it's on and reboot.

@dish_moose it has been working for a while until I updated it.

@Tech_Spec I can't because nothing comes up on the screen not even a bios boot logo.

That's weird...
Strip your system down to just MOBO, Ram, CPU. Have just a keyboard and the screen attached nothing else.
See if this will allow you to boot into the BIOS.
If it does just have a run through of all the settings make sure everything is in order.

Tried that.
Still nothing. As before I cannot look at settings as nothing at all on the screen.
Do I maybe just buy a new mobo?

It sounds like Update has done more damage then good to your MOBO.
I know some MSI MOBO have dual BIOS.
Check to see if you have a mechanical switch on the MOBO to switch between BIOS?

Honestly from what I can tell you may need to replace but try everything possible first.
