So about a week ago I bought a new cpu for my computer to replace a G3220...my motherboard is an ASUS H81M-K and I checked it if is it compatible with it and it is. After placing the new cpu in I start up the computer and there is nothing showing up on the screen...the cpu, the case and the graphics card's fans are on power but no image. I have a 500W power supply which should be enough...do you think that there is needed a bios update to make it work, and if it is could you specify which version should be the best

Solution
Put your g3220 back in and update your BIOS. That should solve your problem. The i5 4460 is a "refresh" model cpu that was released at a later date and does require the newer BIOS rev.

So there is no need to return the CPU...it just needs a bios update?
