I think I've literally tried everything. Cannot get my computer to detect my GPU.

Hey everyone.

Specs:

Asus Strix 980
i7-4770
650W Zalman Goldrock PSU (Also tested with Superflower 650w)
16gb Kingston Hyper x Black ram
Gigabyte h97m-d3h
Windows 10

So like the title says, my computer/bios/device manager will not detect my GTX 980 at all. I cannot get display and since it doesn't detect I also can't install drivers. I'm pretty sure I've tried everything and cannot figure out what the issue is.

Things I've tried:

- Test the GPU in another computer (the GPU worked)
- Tested a different gpu in the same PCIE slot (that gpu worked)
- Tried a new PSU (still wouldn't work)
- Reinstalled Windows
- Changed MOBOs
- Updated BIOS

So the thing I don't understand is, the GPU works in another computer. Other GPUs work in my computer. It's just MINE that won't work in my computer.

I have no idea what to do anymore as I feel I've tried everything and searched for every answer I could possibly find online. If someone could please help get my GPU detected by my computer, I would be forever grateful.

No, haven't disabled completely, but boot is set to PCIE option. The problem is it's not detected at all, so I don't think disabling the onboard graphics will do anything except give me black screen.

Dang accidentally picked as solution. I have tried forcing the PCIE and no good. I also can't try my other PCIE slot unfortunately because I have a mATX build and there's not enough space to install the gpu in the second PCIE slot :/ BUT this PCIE slot should work because the other card worked in it.

Its probably something simple. I have even done something as dumb as plugging my monitor back into the integrated on the motherboard and then wondering why my card isn't working.Probably just a setting though.

Try resetting the BIOS and have you tried a PSU of higher wattage?(I know you tried another 650W which is more than enough for that GPU).
Also check your BIOS settings for something about PCIE cards and uefi settings.

I've tried clearing the CMOS and also reinstalling the BIOS, but no go. At this point I'm thinking it's some kind of driver or software setting since all the hardware checks out.

At one point, there was an unknown device in Device Manager with the yellow exclamation point which I uninstalled. It hasn't shown back up yet. Is there any way to bring that back up in device manager?
