Good morning,

I just built my first computer yesterday, but can't get it to work. The parts I used are as follows:

-Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
-CPU Cooler: be quiet! DARK ROCK TF 67.8 CFM Fluid Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler
-Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
-Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
-Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
-Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB FTW Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card
-Case: Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ATX ATX Mid Tower Case
-Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
-Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Full - USB 32/64-bit
-Wireless Network Adapter: Intel 7260HMWDTX1 PCI-Express x1 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Adapter

When I plug everything in and turn it on, the Motherboard begins it's self checks, but ends up on the dreaded Boot Disc LED with it staying bright red. I have tried unplugging the computer removing various components one at a time such as:

-removed the motherboard's battery and reseated it
-removed the RAM and reseated it
-removed one of the RAM sticks, and also tried moving the RAM to another slot just in case (I started with the slots suggested in the manual)
-removed the SSD
-removed the GPU
-unplugged the case fans

So I am now essentially down to a computer case with just a motherboard and a CPU/cooler and one stick of RAM and I am still getting the same error. I don't know what else to try. Do you think it is a problem with the motherboard? I assume the processor is fine as that LED on my motherboard turns off after being checked.
