I am looking for a 900-1000USD build for mainly Arma 3 and CSGO. I would like to be to run Arma 3 over 60FPS on mid-high settings at least and CS well over 144FPS on the highest settings. Thank you!

Well I will play Overwatch maybe Sniper Elite but primarly CSGO and Arma. If it can run Arma smoothly I assume it will run other games quite smoothly. (Even tho it's a CPU-heavy game)

Only a tower. Monitor is not in that budget, and I am changing from a laptop so just need a keyboard and a monitor. I will look into the monitor stuff later.

I am mainly using it for gaming as I have a laptop for school.

Thanks

Is the 1070 a bit of an overkill for that budget? I don't know, just asking! That build looks great by the way. Thanks!

If you want the maximum performance in ArmA 3 go with a K CPU from Intel (AMD CPU's perform very bad in ArmA 3, i'm talking from experience). If you can get an 4790k or 6700k and OC them to 4.7 GHz that would give you an amazing FPS boost in A3 multiplayer, depending on what mod you are playing. Also I recommend going for a skylake build and use DDR4 memory because high frequency memory has been proven to boost the fps by 5-10 or more in ArmA 3

well as I built this for below the 1000 mark I wouldn't say its overkill at all, the build I listed will do you very well for the years to come if you want to play on 1080p screen, this setup will also allow you to get and fully utilise a 144Mhz monitor if you wanted too :). when building computers you need to be aware if all your parts are good quality the GPU is going to be the thing you upgrade most often due to graphics being the most demanding things as games get better and better so why not start out with a top notch card for a well rounded build?

Good! This is probably the best build option I've got at the moment. Thanks!
