I need to use Legacy BIOS to flash a hdd for my kids' Xbox 360, but I can't find the option in the UEFI BIOS. I need to switch the SATA to ATA in order for it to detect the hdd. The only options I have on the SATA config are RAID, SATA, or IDE. This is on a Sabertooth 990fx r1 not an r2. I have the last BIOS that they released (1604). I don't have the CSM, secure boot, or the Boot device Control options. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

If you did read the manual carefully, and you can't find the legacy bios option, and I think it is not there, because I don't read the manual too, sorry.

In other hand if you want to change the SATA or the ahci mode into the IDE, you will need to modify the registry first. After done the thing for your kids, then you will do it again, to modify the registry. How to http://www.overclock.net/t/1227636/how-to-change-sata-modes-after-windows-installation

Because I don't use Xbox, I don't know what your mean to flash a hdd for Xbox 360, but if you just want to format the IDE HDD, you may buy the adapter like the one with USB2.0 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812232002&ignorebbr=1 or with USB3.0...

I can switch into IDE in the SATA config, but it still doesn't read any ATA drives when I try to boot into hddhackr.

I think this thread should end here. Because of the nature of the utillity you named, it interferes with the Inellectual Property of the developer who created the original software.

An X-Box should work straight out of the box without such interference and any additions break the terms of usage of the device.

Sorry. I didn't realise this. I was just trying to add some storage to the slim which only has 4gb of memory and no hard drive.
