Hi, I am very new at assembling my own desktop. I bought a Ibuypower chimera pc in 2010 and have been replacing components bit by bit. Now I am looking at replacing my motherboard, cpu and upgrading my gpu again while hopefullly getting it all to fit in my current case. What I am thinking so far is replacing my asus 6pte with the Asrock Fatality z170 k4 and switching my intel i7 930 with either the Intel Core i3-6100 or Intel Core i5-6500. Lastly I was planning on replacing my Nvidia 760 with the 1070. This pc is mostly used for moderate/intense gaming and typically I only run a couple things in the background. I will gladly provide any additional info needed. Will this work? Am I just saying nonsense? I have little clue. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

IMO, Just plan on a new case. The new motherbd will have front usb3 that your old case doesnt support. And possibly other features as well
