Will a UPS/AVR help my system?

The socket where my computer is plugged into seems to be getting inadequate power when ever the shower in the bedroom is turned on. I was thinking of getting a UPS/AVR to help with this problem but im not sure if it will, any thoughts on the idea?

Solution
That's quite a difference in wattage for the UPS and PSU. I would recommend using a wattage calculator for your system.

Make sure you won't be exceeding the load your UPS can handle or it will all be a bit pointless when the shower is on.

It will work with your PSU Stepped Approximation to SineWave isn't as good as Pure SineWave but it shouldn't cause any damage.
I've seen cases online where some people have issues when it switches over to battery mode completely but it's more noise related.
If you have the right UPS it should help but I'm not 100% convinced your model will be what you need.

In theory it would help but would it not be more sensible to plug the computer into a different circuit separate from the shower?
If this isn't an option then a UPS would work just don't configure your setup to automatically shut down when it's running on the UPS.

Wont the UPS just adjust or add the power being delivered to my PSU?

Sorry it will definitely work in the situation you need it for and they are a good investment.
If moving your computer onto a more stable circuit isn't an option then go with a UPS, I would recommend and APC UPS if you don't mind spending a little more on quality.

Well I did,

I got this actually: http://home.schneider-electric.com.my/en/documents/BX800LI-MS%20BX1100LI-MS%20Brochure%20Spec%20Sheet.pdf

but my concern now is , its't a "pure sinwave" waveform.

I have no idea I had to look into this cause I got this unit from an IT store that sells computer components. I'm using a cooler master v650 btw.

Honestly i'm not the most clued up about the different wave forms but a "Pure Sinewave" isn't a bad thing it's of higher quality as far as I know.
in the link there are two models? what one is it you have.
You can have a lower wattage UPS then your PSU (AS LONG AS) you are using a smaller load on your PSU then you are your UPS it will be fine.

For example is you only use 400W on a 650W PSU then a 500W-550W PSU would suffice.

I got the 800va, I havent tested it out yet since the battery needs charging for about 10 hours before use(manual).

Im just now concern on two things; will it work on my PSU(the UPS being "Stepped Approximation to Sine Wave") and, will it help me in my socket problem
