I got an i7-6700 but it only has 2 cores?

I recently got a desktop i7-6700 but for some reason it only has 2 cores and 4 threads. Can someone help me out?

Do you have all your cores enabled in the BIOS?

Yea man. When I enter the bios, it says 4 cores and Hyperthreading enabled but in windows in only says 2 cores

Did you do a clean install of Windows when you built this system?

You should. There can be a number of problems, like the one above or other performance issues, when swapping the CPU and motherboard without doing a reinstall.
