Hi! I have an ASUS N550 laptop from about 2 years and it's overheating without doing anything on it. I went to a service and they said that system fan is damaged and should be replaced. They replaced it but it still heating very high(about 80 degrees). They told me that it's still heating because I have some powerful programs (After Effects, Photoshop, Sketchup...) but I don't think that is the problem because I have these programs since I bought the laptop. Sorry for my bad english and I hope you can help me. Thanks!

EDIT: I just noticed that this problem appears only when the laptop is on AC power but on battery it works just fine.

Hi there VladAlex40,

Did the guys from the repair shop do something else except for replacing the fan?(cleaning the dust out, reapplying thermal paste, etc.)

I believe you can consider getting a cooling pad as well. This could reduce the operating temperature.

Cheers,

Yes, they first cleaned the dust out and after that reapplied thermal paste as well but the laptop was still heating so they told me I have to replace the system fan.
