Hey all, I just installed a new video card, asus strix gtx1060 o6gb, and when i tried to plug my vga to dvi-i adapter into the card i realized it only accepted dvi-d, and hdmi. I grabbed my hdmi cable and hooked it up that way but the picture on the screen is wierd. Really blocky hard to read text, really sharp edges and over all poor quality. I purchased two adapters a dvi-i to hdmi and then hdmi to vga.It worked great for about 3 min and then i started to see horizontal lines in the screen that got worse until finally the whole screen was basically green and then no signal detected. I have no idea what else to do I've tried changing the input label to pc, but with that i can't change the sharpness setting. Right now it's set to 16:9 and the nvidia control panel is set to a resolution of 1920x1080 60hz, this is what i have always had my resolution set to in this TV which is an lg 36" i believe. Any ideas before i have to go buy a new TV/monitor?

It doesn't tint green it gets green horizontal lines that get progressively worse then screen goes blank, only when the adapter is connected.

Do you have a laptop, console or anything else to output onto this display? If so then test it and if there are no issues there could potentially be an issue with your card.

it works fine on the second monitor and works fine if its not hooked up to hdmi, my setup is the main monitor is 32" lcd LG (model 32LD400) the second monitor is ACER (model H233H). The acer works fine no matter what the input is. The LG always looks worse when computer is hooked up through HDMI.
