Looking For Powerful Build for Graphic Design (for gaming as well, but that's not as pertinent)

Alright, first timer with building a PC here! I don't have any particular loyalties with any brands, but I HAVE been looking at the Radeon RX 480 8 GB Graphics Card as it seems to be very powerful for it's relatively low price. I'm willing to wait for the custom pieces to come out as well. As that's said, price really isn't an issue, but I would like my budget to stay around 1,500. I'm willing to shell out for the more powerful parts of the PC, but only if it's worth it. As far as the other components go, I don't really have any idea where to even start. I would PREFER to be able to play VR as far as gaming goes along with recent gaming titles, but if I have to go over the budget for it, it's really not that important. For editing and design, I'm looking to use Photoshop CS 6, Paint Tool SAI, and MAYA. I tend to switch between them often, so being able to have at least two (or all) running flawlessly at the same time would be amazing. I'd like to take recommendations for monitors as well, two of the same type would be ideal, but I could deal with having only one if it's a great size and resolution. The budget for the monitor is separate from the overall budget, so I'd say around 800 to 1,000 for that. Thank you very much!

The corsair liquid cooler is not needed, the i7 6700k does not support that motherboard. the 850 EVo is a faster and more reliable SSD than the Transcend, the only change i advise you to make is to get the GTX 1080 over the GTX 1070.

With a budget that like that, the rx 480 is a bit lowend, and would probably not be a good fit. This is actually similar to a build that I put together not too long ago:

However, if you want to sacrifice some gpu power to get some extra cpu cores, then something like this would be a better choice:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6800K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($409.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($96.99 @ Best Buy)
Motherboard: Asus X99-A II ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($225.99 @ SuperBiiz)

They also both have a pretty nice white on black color scheme if your into that.

EDIT: As Trafalgar747 noticed, I suggested a power supply that may not be good enough for this build. I would recommend getting something more similar to his suggestion.

Alright, so I kind of mixed and matched with both of the lists and this is what I came up with

----

CPU: Intel Core i7-6800K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($409.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($96.99 @ Best Buy)

Storage: Transcend 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($77.99 @ B&H)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($60.00 @ Amazon)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($89.00 @ Amazon)
Total: $1583.64

It's a little bit over my budget, but not by much, so I'm fine with it! :3 Please let me know if any of these parts won't work together, but thank you very much! This was an immense help with everything! As soon as I get word back, I'l start ordering the parts!

Alright, I already responded to trafalgar747, but in case you didn't get alerted, I decided to go with a mixture of both of your lists!

Looks much better now that you've changed the CPU, but I would ditch the Liquid cooler, and swap out the Transcend for a Samsung like was suggested before. I recommend top down coolers for overclocked workstations as they will help keep the VRMs, northbridge, RAM, etc... cool when running intense CPU tasks for days on end. This is based on experience. I was running a $200+ Swiftech liquid cooler on my workstation, and while it did cool the CPU well, my other components weren't happy running days at a time. Now currently rocking the Dark Rock Pro TF, and couldn't be happier. Also have the Phanteks TC14CS and they are within a degree of each other on all my various systems' tests, I just liked the way the DR Pro TF looks with my other components. Noctua makes some nice ones as well.

Alright! One more question then.... This build you have suggested, would it be able to run video editing software well? Like blender?

Although it is a bit more expensive, You may want to grab an i7-6800k instead of the 5820k because it is newer and slightly faster (although I have heard that is slightly harder to overclock but I'd say this is mostly down to the silicon lottery).

p.s. there seems to be some confusion about the compatibility of this motherboard so here is a list of cpu's compatible with the ASUS X99-A from the asus website.
