Hi,

RAM : 4x 4GB - CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
MB : P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
CPU : 2600k
PSU : corsair tx650

After a reboot, my PC was staying with a black screen.

I've tried to reboot again but nothing worked so, I have done a clear CMOS with the jumper on the motherboard.

After the clear CMOS, my PC boot successfully but only once. If I try to reboot again, the PC first reboot several time in a short period of time, and then stay on with nothing on screen (like before). And the memOk! light is fix and red (didn't notice that before).

I've tried:
- to boot with only one stick, in every slot.
- to boot with less hardware connected to the PSU
- I have the last bios 3802

My PC was doing OK until I tried to install Docker to do some stuff.
The installer asked to activate hyper-v for me, so I've authorized it and it has rebooted. Windows 10 has done some updates before the reboot, and just after that nothing work anymore.

I'm not sure it this related or not. I don't think so but...

Thank you a thousand times if you can enlighten me, and thank you for reading me as well.

Solution
The gold standard for testing ram is memtest86+
Test each stick individually, then in pairs, then all.
Be aware that subtle differences can keep your disparate kits from working together. That is why ram is only supported in kits.

One possible fix is to give the ram a bit more added voltage than the xmp sets.

Hi,

Yes I have 16GB - 2 kits of 8GB (2x4), and if I'm not mistaken, they are in the QVL for my MB with 4 DIMM capability.

I think the docker things was a coincidence, it would have happened with something else.

Actually I succeed to get back to a working thing.

- I've disabled TPU (should have been disabled by default, I don't know... perhaps my brother).
- checked up the PSU connections
- I've cleared the CMOS again and reboot into the BIOS
- I've set the XMP profile for the RAM and rebooted
- the boot failed
- I've pushed the memOk! button and it worked this time

now my config is ok but my RAM is down to 666mhz

I have vt-x enabled, so I can install virtualbox

Thank you
