Is it OK to buy a non 80+ certified PSU if I'm not worried about efficiency?

I would like to get a reliable PSU for my build but I've been informed my wattage for the current PSU does not have enough comfortable head room, standing at only 87W headroom. (side question, is it really that bad to have 87W of headroom only?)

I want to stay as far away from 1000 AUD as possible, hence why I am thinking of choosing:

It gives me more watts and it's Antec, so I know it's reliable.
The lower level of efficiency doesn't pose any threat to the PSU blowing up or the rest of the build, right? Or is that wrong?

Solution
Efficiency says nothing about quality.
There are some gold certified PSUs that I wouldn't put in my home
Efficiency says nothing about build quality. It'll save you 3$\year and won't get as hot since less power is converted to heat.

Check the PSU Tier list.
Not every Antec PSU is good quality.

87W head room isn't ideal since it forces the PSU to it's limits. No worries if it's a Tier 1 PSU or a Tier 2
But you shouldn't stress the PSU constantly.

It would be good if you would list your specs especially anything that requires a lot of power like your GPU. Overall this power supply is adequate but nothing special from a quick look at the specs. We'll have a better idea if it will cover your needs once we know what your needs are.

Good point, my mistake. This is my build: http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/QYdskT

Yeah that model GPU is a little power hungry and a 650w is what is normally recommended. Here is a link to a website that list recommended power supplies depending on the GPU.

It doesn't hurt to have more power than needed but it will definitely cramp your gaming if you are under powered. Here is a link to Johnny Luck Power Supply site which is a good resource for good power supplies.

Solution
Although quality and efficiency are not necessarily related, it's rare to find high quality PSUs that don't have at least 80+ certification. Also be aware that PSUs with lower efficiency will have a LOT more heat to dissipate, which will result in them being louder.
