The monitor on my new computer build will not display if I have inserted a RAM stick, Hyperx Fury DDR4 4gb, into one of the slots, which is recognized by the BIOS as DIMM_A1, even if A2 is empty, so this tells me that there is something wrong with the slot. My motherboard, which is an ASUS H110M-K, only has two memory slots. I checked the CPU socket for bent pins, and it seems to be fine. I checked the voltage in the BIOS, and it is set to 1.2, which is what these RAM sticks use. I checked the RAM slots for debris, and cleared out a speck of something, but this changed nothing. The computer starts fine with any of the sticks in slot A2 ONLY, but anything in slot A1 causes the monitor to get no signal. I reset the CMOS but shorting two pins and removing the battery.

I did not have this problem before, however, I was facing an issue with the cpu overheating, so after having set everything up with the CPU, Intel Core i5-6500 lga 1151, it worked with the two sticks in both slots. I then ordered another CPU, this new one being an LGA 1150, which was incompatible with the motherboard. I stupidly fitted this 1150 cpu into the now empty slot, and tried to start up the computer before my stupid brain relaized it was not compatible, plus, to fit it in I kind of forced it...At first I thought I had bent a pin in the socket by doing this, but I checked very carefully with a magnifying glass and nothing had broke. I then replaced the CPU with the previous i5 6500 i had and used the stock fan from the new cpu, and no overheating. Except now, the monitor displays no signal as long as there is a RAM stick in slot A1
