Hello,

I found my old GTX 470 and was planning on reusing this but this what I get and MSI afterburner doesn't even recognise it as a card, anyone have any suggestions as to what causes this? I can guess maybe damage to the chip or DVI port. I am going to guess it is dead but would like to know what has killed it. It has been sat in an anti-static bag for 2 years now.

you've installed/reinstalled NVidia drivers on machine after putting the gpu in too rite? but yea, the vram on the gpu degrading is what I would suspect if it is a hardware defect.

if you have other cables to try or can try other output ports on card I'd do that too.
