What is the best and cheapest change i can make to my rig?

Really looking to upgrade my setup, but i don't want to spend too much money. Would like to get higher fps in games like Overwatch and Counter-Strike (More cpu intensive games.) Right now im getting about 120 fps average in Overwatch and I would like to have over 200 fps average. This is because of input lag reasons and having a 144hz monitor.
Parts:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
GPU: GTX 960 SSC 2gb
CPU: FX-6300 Black Edition
PSU: Corsair CX 430
RAM: HyperX 8gb

If i can avoid upgrades and acheive this with cooling upgrades and overclocking, advice on that is welcome aswell, thanks!

The wattage of the PSU is only 1 variable.

A 550w QUALITY psu is great. A psu shapped box with a sticker that says 550w on it is a cheap junk that can not even sustain a 350w load and when that crap pile dies on you, it will fry most of your computer with it.

In your case the PSU is only the icing on the cake.

Your motherboard will not support a better CPU nor designed for proper stable overclocking and it is just flat out a poor investment at this point to buy a new AM3+ motherboard and CPU. If you were going to go to that extent then you might as well get a new intel skylake system instead of AMD's now 4 year old architecture.

Nothing to upgrade that is worthwhile without doing a full cpu/motherboard upgrade.

Ram is not going to help with games
Anything better then your current 960 will be held back by your CPU
Your current motherboard could not even support an 83xx series CPU, which I would not advise spending the money on at this point anyways.

So bottom line, save up to do a completely new build.
Since you will also need a better PSU and new license of windows (your key is tied to your current motherboard) you might as well sell build a completely new one and sell your current one.

Well you get a better cooler and try OC the FX from 3.5 to about 4.0 (shouldn't be that hard) after that would be to get your self a GTX 1060 for about @$250-260 or if you can find a 970 for at or under $200.

Neither your motherboard nor your PSU will provide a good overclock.

And your PSU will not last powering those GPUs, not to mention the cpu bottlenecking them.
