I am trying to change access control for AcroRd32Info.exe in registry in win-7 using administrative login but every time i try then i get error Acess Denied and even permissions Full Control,Read etc are disable for enabling
You need to take ownership of the hive or file, if you can't edit rights under an admin account, it means the admin account does not have rights to change things by default. Normally you don't want to do this as messing with files that are locked for changing often causes more issues.
Hi Hang-the-9,
Thanks for the reply. If i dont change the permission for AcroRd32Info.exe then it is not updating the acrobat reader in windows 7.
I'd uninstall it and re-install it then, it should run updates unless you have the system locked down another way.
