I have been trying to find a motherboard that has good on board audio that is also following a black and white color scheme and the best I could find are the Asus Z170-A and the Deluxe version of that. Is there a motherboard that follows my criteria or should I just suck it up and get something that doesn't follow my color scheme?

This is my parts list:

WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive

ASUS VG248QE Black 24" Gaming Monitor, 144 Hz 1ms

ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG STRIX OC Edition Graphic Card (In SLI eventually)

EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 220-G2-0750-XR 80+ GOLD 750W

Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0

CRYORIG H7 Tower Cooler For AMD/Intel CPU

SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III

2 Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition 120mm High Static Pressure Pack Fan

4 Corsair Air Series AF140 140mm Quiet Edition High Airflow Case Fan

Ballistix Sport LT 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400

Phanteks Enthoo Pro Series PH-ES614P_BK Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

I've built 4 systems in the past few months with the Z170-A from ASUS. It is a very good motherboard for the price. The audio is very good for onboard sound, though I'm quite sure that it could be argued that a dedicated sound card could provide better audio. I never once had any issues with noise when the PC was busy. I've run into cheaper motherboards that hiss when there is significant traffic over Ethernet, this wasn't the case with this motherboard.

is there a dedicated sound card that you would recommend?

While unecessary, and I hate to do it, the Sound Blaster Z series are very good. The reason I hate recommending Creative is they have a history of leaving users of their products behind when a new OS comes out. The have purposely provided poor drivers with limited features when a new OS required new drivers in an effort to force users to buy new sound cards. Then when an individual came along and hacked in the features and fixed the bugs, Creative sends a Cease and Desist letter from their lawyers. So while their hardware is good and drivers are decent while they support it, their customer loyalty is terrible.

I've also read good things about the ASUS Xonar series, though I've also heard they are slow in fixing issues with their drivers.

If it were me (and I've acutally contemplated it) I'd go with the Sound Blaster Z as much as I don't like Creatives customer loyalty.
