It "should" be fine, and with your specs I doubt you'll ever see 300w let alone close to 500w. I recommend swapping it out sooner than later, when your budget is ready.

Stay away from the CX600, you might as well keep what you have. Your total system specs are under 300w. The manufacturer recommends 450w, because like you said before, a lot of PSU's don't supply the rated wattage and they know that, not because you actually need 450w. Though I usually recommend a PSU where your system uses around 60-70% of it's rating for the best efficiency. These are all "budget" PSU's that I recommend: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/fZyFf7,nB3RsY,vRmLrH,fntWGX/ and will give you headroom for future upgrading.

For corsair, best bet is the CXM 550w. Usually cheaper than the 550w RMx, you could also do a Seasonic M/S12-II 520w or 620w, XFX TS 550w, Antec HCG-M 520w/620w, Evga GS/G2 550w etc. These usually run in the $50-$70 range, but sales can change that, I've seen the XFX at newegg for $25, the Antec HCG-M 620 for $30 etc.
