My friend needs help on finding the right pc that he can use for editing and light gaming and here are some of the options that he has:

1st:
Procie : Core i5 3.1ghz - 3.4ghz + Ice Edge Mini
Mobo : H61 SOCKET 1155
Vcard : GTX560 1GB 256BIT DDR5
Psu : 600w PSU TRUE RATED
Ram : 8gb hyperx fury 1866MHZ
Hdd : 500Gb Sata
Gaming case:rakk phantom black

That's all the information that the seller gave him. It's a complete rig.

the other is:

Processor: Intel core2 duo e8400@3.0
Mobo: asrock g41
Ram: 2gb ddr3
Vcard: Palit geforce gt 220 1gb 128bit
HDD: 320gb SATA
psu and case was not mentioned

The video editing program he is using is sony vega pro.

He would like to play dota 2 and nba2k16.

the 1st option is a little more expensive than the other that difference is like 80-100usd depending on the conversion and he is on a tight budget as he is only a student. So if the 2nd would actually be better with a little tweak like in the video card please do advice on that.

thank you!

They are both older, but the first build is significantly better for what your friend is wanting to accomplish. He may want to keep an eye out for an AMD FX "8 core" build, or possibly an older i7 if his budget can swing it. If not, the i5 is the way to go.

The first one is miles better than the second one. Both are not so new , but for light gaming and video editing they should do the trick. If he wants faster video rendering , he can always buy a new gpu and install it.
