How many watts do I need to run two 1080s in Sli?

I recently tested a system with 2x GTX1080 and it turns out on average the power draw from them both was 364W and I only saw a maximum of 480W so as you said you can get away with a good 750W but I like to leave a fair overhead that's why I suggested an 850w :)

Current specifications for one card systems state around 500 watts. Since the cards have two 6+2 pin PCIE power connectors (max 375watts), an 875 watt power supply will be more than sufficient.

That said, most cards won't come anywhere close to 375 watts of power usage, even at full load. A quality 875 watt PSU will have you covered, but you could probably get away with a quality 750 watt PSU as well.
