After asking around for examples on what I should do to upgrade my pc, I found a few different things that I would think would make it better, but when I combined then in Pc PartPicker I got this as a compatibility note: "The motherboard M.2 slot #0 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6Gb/s ports are disabled." I don't know what this means and what it affects. Here is the link to the list

Thanks for any help you can provide.

SATA ports are the ones for hard drives, SSDs and optical drives. The M.2 slot is for M.2 SSDs. When you use an M.2 SSD, you won't be able to use two of the SATA HDD/SSD/Optical drive slots. Not a big deal if you've got a decent sized HDD so you don't need a bunch of storage drives. Most people now a days don't even build with the Optical drives any more. Everything seems to be USB as of late.
