CPU and RAM Compatibility?

Hey guys,

i am building new gaming pc for the first time.

I wanted to know if the CPU and the RAM has to be compatible?

The CPU i have chosen is the i7 6850k and the ram is 32GB G.Skill red ripjaws V 3000mhz CL15

Motherboard: Asus strix x99

Is everything compatible?

These DIMMs have been tested in accordance with your MB and listed on the QVL.
G.SKILL F4-3000C15Q-32GRK(XMP) 32GB ( 4x 8GB )
If they are the same then your good to go and all is compatible.
Recommend you update your Bios to 0801 if not already done so.
