Can I upgrade the CPU without needing to use activation code

Solution
I was on the understanding that windows keys are tied to the motherboard, so all other components connected are not affected and can be changed at will.....I could be wrong though???

Well I have just built a completely new computer this week and initially installed windows 10 pro on a sandisk ssd drive, then removed that ssd to install windows on a Samsung NMVE ssd and the second time when asked for the activation key, the on screen prompt tells you to click "I don't have the key" (meaning skip) as will be registered automatically......and I can confirm that it definitely does show as being activated.

Everything was brand new and never seen an operating system until I installed it......1st installation on day one was with both the sandisk ssd as boot drive and the samsung m.2 NVME as the secondary drive connected....I needed to use the sandisk to allow me into windows to format the Samsung so that windows recognised it to install windows to it....so on day two once the samsung was formatted I then removed the sandisk ssd from the computer then re-booted and installed fresh copy of windows onto the samsung M.2 drive without the need to input the activation key again.....same mobo, cpu and ram....only the ssd was altered.
