This is my first pc build ever. I would like this mainly for pc gaming, vr, media consumtion and writing papers as i will be going to college this winter. My budget is $2000 not including peripherals which i've decided will be a 1440p ultra wide monitor along with rgb keyboard and mouse. I have a few guidelines. 1 I would like it to be based around a gtx 1080 2 I want minimal accent colors on the parts as i want a black and white setup and dont want to throw off the skeme but some may be acceptable if the price is worth it 3 a case with a window to ahow off all of its glory. Keep in mind my main 1080 choice was the asus strix. Also im fairly novice so if you speak about specs give me comparisons or lehmans terms haha. Thank you so much and god bless.

The OC version appears to be the same model of card that just has a higher factory overclock. As far as I can tell you could just manually overclock the non oc version to a similar level. Overclocking can certainly help give you a boost in performance, but its usually nothing earth shattering and is a few fps at best (less than ~10% boost in performance).

Well for 1440p gaming, 2000 is a bit overkill and a build like this should keep you locked at 60fps ultra on any modern game (as well as keep your white on black color theme):

If you want to game at 4k or at 1440p 144hz then you could grab another gtx 1080 and do an sli setup, but it will go a little over your budget:

[EDIT:/b] I have been informed that the Enthoo pro M case as a small green LED but it should be fairly easy to disable or replace.
