Good Day! I'm planning to buy a new gpu and I've read some post about the "true-rated" and "single/dual 12v rail" please explain these to me and other vital infos that will help me choose the right gpu for my psu. My power supply doesn't have 6pin in it so I'm planning to get an adapter 4pin(molex) to 6pin for my planned gpu. Thanks!

**also is 4pin(molex) to 6pin rare in the market? http://virtuapin.net/images/adapter-2x-molex-6pin.jpg

Still doesn't work.

If you want to run a card that requires a six pin plug, using an adapter to force your PSU to output that kind of power isn't going to end well for you. Trust me/us, you need a new PSU.

Your PSU link doesn't work. I always suggest people NEVER use adapters like that. Forcing the PSU to be used in a way the manufacturer never intended for it to be used isn't going to work out well. I don't know for sure, but I suspect "true-rated" has something to do with whether the PSU can really output what the label claims it can. Single vs multi rail doesn't really matter. Don't use the adapter, get a good PSU that can handle your GPU.

Your power supply unit (psu) is the most important part of any computer. If it is not up to what you want it to do it will tell you with a lack of 6 pin or 8 pin ports. If you try to work around it's shortcomings it could possibly complain and destroy your computer.

Please buy a decent psu first !
