built new computer, installed driver, but games are lagging

idk what to do here. I have a 17 4770k and a nvidia geforce gtx970. I am getting 50 fps in csgo lol. I updated nvidia drivers and the motherboard drivers. what should i do?

Might double check you plugged the monitor cable into the gpu, not the motherboard.

Double check all the power connectors to the gpu are secure.

Are the gpu fans spinning during gaming?

If it`s the GPU fan then that is normal, since they don`t spin until the temps reach 60 C. What are your system temps?

Scroll up to the top of the hardware monitor and the GPU temperature will be there

those are my temps. I did not know about thermal paste and i did not put it on... but i am lucky the cpu still works. I am buying some paste tmrw
