I was wondering if it was even worth overclocking my msi gtx 970, I know it can be dangerous and im not sure if overclocking will boost my performance much, so if i should, what settings would you recommend?

This is my build http://pcpartpicker.com/b/z46XsY

As with any OC, you want to go slow, try raising the freq till it crashes, then add a bit more voltage and see what that will do. At all times monitor temps - contrary to the above, Yes you can damage a card by OCing too high with too much voltage

I should have been more specific... Just raising the clock speed doesn't usually damage a modern card. Yes, adjusting voltage can damage it.

I guess I'm not used to people changing voltages on graphics cards. I usually max out the clock speed at the default voltage and call it done.
