Downgrade the ram

Hi .
I have 4gb 1600 cl 11 avexir ram
I bought corsair 2*4 1600 cl 9
I want them to work together
So is possible to downgrade the cl 9 one to cl 11??
My friend told me that it will damage my rams
And can i run intel xmp with these specs
I5 2400

It wont hurt anything to run them all at cl 11 however there is no guarantee that the mixed kits will work together.

Then how to downgrade it ?
I think i should put the cl 9 one and downgrade it from bios
Then put the cl 11
Is this right ?

You can leave the timings on auto, and your motherboard will do it automatically.

I will try .but what about intel xmp
As my ram work at 1333mhz not 1600mhz
Ammm and all rams are intel xmp ready so how to do it ? Will it damage anything ?

You cant damage anything. It'll run or it won't. Just reset bios if it won't boot. I'd leave the cl11 ram in slot 1 and it should run everything at that speed

I think it was in slot 4 and my pc didnt boot anyway .so should i try again and put it in slot 1?

Yes. The computer most likely read the cl9 timings in slot 1 and tried to run the cl11 stick at cl9 and it failed. You can also try bumping the dram voltage to 1.55v and see if it helps any

Try setting manually to 1600 11-11-11-30 1.55
