parts for this thread
motherboard: asrock fm2a68m-hd+
case: cougar spike case micro-atx

so, my case supports up to 4 fans which is decent for a micro-atx case but the problem is that my mobo on supports 2 fan pins so i can only install an intake and outtake fan. I want better cooling as my pc has negative airflow because my cpu cooler being an outtake type fan too. would using a 1 fan pin connector to 3 fan pin adapter safe? would all the fans be safe or is it kinda shady and can problems occur?

here is an example of a fan adapter that I want to buy for more fan installation in my PC: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004J3R9YY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Solution
Typical motherboard fan connectors only support 5 Watts of total output. So the 3 fans combined must not exceed that draw on the motherboard or it will likely damage the motherboard. While the published specs of the 3 fans might come to less than that, the fans can draw more power as they get dirty and/or older and their bearings wear. So I wouldn't recommend it.

Usually extra fans are connected directly to unused PSU outputs via adapter cables or a fan controller that is connected to a PSU output.
