My (very old) Logitech G9 gaming mouse has started to go off and on during use on my PC, in windows and in the bios. After a little time off the PC will see and can use the mouse again but then it goes off. I can use a basic mouse no problem. Im on the newest bios and have tried lots of 'solutions' I have found on the net but nothing works.

The mouse works fine in other PCs

If I got a PCIe USB card so I can use my mouse would this work interdependently of the motherboards 'issues'? I can't think of any other way around this.

I feel like going out and buying a new mouse but i'm not sure that is the problem.

1| Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS?
2| Have you made sure your chipset drivers are up to date?
3| If you're on the latest BIOS have you tried reverting a revision or two to see if the issue is resolved?
4| If you're on Windows 10, try and run a repair install.

I own a G9x mouse and one issue with the device was that it often gave me double clicks for every single click I did on my mouse irrespective of right or left click. I cam e back tot eh mouse after a hiatus but with a clean install of OS and the latest LGS suite which since has resolved the issue. I've spent some time gaming with it even. So perhaps try and uninstall and reinstall your LGS software.
