HDD was 4 year old . It is of WD caviar Green. If HDD is dead what should I buy? SSD or HDD and of which company? Need a good warranty as I m a student only . :)
Once this HDD was not working so I put it in plastic bag and throw it in freezer after two days it start working again. Lol I should try it again?

Definitely not. Who needs an unreliable storage device? - - not me,that's for sure.

For hard drive recommendation it has to be WD (based on my 20 years experience with all the leading brands).
Can't advise on SSD purchase as I've never had one on any of my systems yet. Price needs to come down further before I buy one as I want to get one with same capacity as my existing hard drive to make cloning simpler.

Which WD? Green Blue Black Red Yellow Bla bla ??? People saying bad for WD as there are warranty is less. I used and worked for 4 years is that sufficient ,good, great?

I can't recommend any particular model.

I'm surprised you only got 4 years life out of it. I've got three WD drives, all 7 or 8 years old and all still going strong.
Previous drives were Seagate/Maxtor and they lasted no more than 2 years!

Guess it was just bad luck with yours or may be it had some punishment/neglect?

maybe think about getting an 120gb ssd for the system drive and add a larger capacity hard drive for mass storage, WD Blue or Black
depends really on how big your old drive was i guess and how much you have to drop on them
the rest of your systes spec dont look that bad
