Hi there

I have some issues while playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Siege on my laptop, after a few minute ingame playing, the Gpu usage reached 100% and then driver crashed, I can also see a error message says: windows kernel mode driver stopped working but has recovered version 368.81. What happened exactly is the game freezes but the sound is still working. The game was working fine before. Everything is on low with FXAA, playing on 1920x1080.

My Spec:
Lenovo Y430P Laptop
CPU: i7-4710MQ@2.5GHz
Motherboard: Lenovo BIQY0 ( Intel Haswell )
RAM: 16 GB ( Kingston DDR3L 1600MHz / Samsung DDR3L 1600MHz )
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 850M ( 2 GB / Lenovo )
Windows 8.1

I've tried
-Underlocking my Core Clock to -50 MHz by using msi Afterburner, and it doesn't seems work.
-Using DDU and removed all previous drivers, and downloaded the latest one(368.81), still crashing, downloaded previous(still crashing), and now what I am using is 368.89 and the game seems last longer.
-Tried Border less, still crashing, however the Windowed last longer
-Turned off the Battery Save Mode
Start thinking the card problem...

Any help please?

Jimmy

I've used it hundreds of times and never had an issue. It's a very useful tool.

Is vsync on check what your monitor refresh rate is set to in windows. you can try lowering your monitor refresh rate in windows and use vsync. This can save some memory cause then your not askin for gpu to draw more than it should do u have 8gb o memory some games will crash if u dont have enough memory. So if it wants more memory and u dont have it can cause instability.

if it crashed then check the temps of gpu and see if u got any headroom for oc the core first raise fan speed with a fan curve . If ur using msi for oc I had instability with it and after I uninstall this program I had stability returned . I use evga precision and have 100 percent stability.

People seem to trust third party uninstallers There not reliable cause there no made by board manufacturer . I recommended Uninstalling current drivers using nvidia unstallers and reinstall last driver.Using 3rd party uninstallers is dangerous to the health of your operating system . If u got windows framework I recommend doing repair on it under the control panel after You uninstall current driver set using nvidia uninstall drivers and control panel .Then install the driver u uninstalled with ddu to correct any mistakes there were . do make sure to reboot for all the uninstalls. I recommend doing a microsoft framework repair under control panel after the uninstall and reboot assignment. After framework repair is complete reboot pc. then install your orginal driver368.81 pay attention when uninstalling . You should be using nvidia uninstallers and installers to prevent registry and file corruptions.

This ddu unistaller is not safe and can cause bsod Windows unable to boot problems . BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH IF U USE DDU UNISTALLER It is not a safe method of uninstall drivers. You can end up with a non bootable pc .

Only use whql driver
