Hi,

i have a problem with my Asus Strix Gtx 1070 8G. When i run the Unigine Heaven Benchmark (also in games) the temps goes up to 80-83 grad in 5 min (with auto fan). I set the fans %100 and ran the Unigine Heaven Benchmark, at the end of the benchmark the temp was 75 grad. Which also means the fans making too much noise. Can i fix it somehow? I already uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them. Or should i give it back?

Last night the outside temp was 18 grad and the room must have 20-23 grad. A friend of mine has the same card. His card runs at 51 grad when he ran the unigine heaven with %100 fan. My gpu had 75 grad. 24-25 grad difference is too much.

I don't think cables are a problem. I tested my Cpu (6700k) 10 min. with prime95. Max. temp was 68-69. This can give you a hint about air flow. The strange thing about Gpu temp is, it goes realy fast over 75 grad. It takes only 15-20 seconds already in game menu to reach 75 grad.

What's the FPS in the game menu? I recall a couple games at release which caused GPU temps to massively spike in their game menus, until they eventually added FPS caps in the menus. This is because raw FPS, even if the GPU does almost nothing, causes more heat than full usage.

Hi everyone. I've bought this card, the OC Edition and I was hitting 83ºC in benchmarks and heavy games such as Witcher or GTA, and in others with Vsync off.
I've fixed it: REPLACED THERMAL PAD WITH THERMAL GREASE and now I play Witcher at 50º and ran Valley BEnch at 60º with AUTO FANS.
I've used Noctua NT-H1 compund.

I hope this would help people in the future.

PS: sorry for my english :p
