I guess that means you can't have a M.2 drive and six other drives connected at the same time. Do you need 6? If not, then it looks like by using the M.2 you lose the ability to use one or two of the six SATA ports. Thus, not an issue. You could have the M.2 and still connect 4 HDDs or SSDs. I'm sure that is more than enough. Don't worry about it.
