cpu is running at 99 celcius even after the reapply of thermal paste

i put on new paste and my cpu is running at 99 degrees celcius. my coolers fan is running so it should be working i assume. Wat do i do

If you put to much paste will run hot, if is not mounted good wil run hot. Try to put again and look if is mounted right.

Which cpu you have? Which cooler and thermal paste are you using?

Also software temperature monitoring is not accurate. Gives unrealistic readings sometimes.
