Hello, I am having problems with my internet. It all started about 8 months ago. The internet would start to drop out about once a day, then led to dropping out about once an hour. Support never helps, they send someone out and the problem still persists. They have no idea what they are doing, nor do I. Now they have had me reset my router and I can not load every web page through my internet. After hours of looking up how to fix it yesterday I found a solution on this page. I changed my dns on this pc and it seems as if I can load every page I couldn't before. But everything else on this internet besides this pc will not work right. My internet provider told me they could not send another tech out until a week from today, but like I said, they never fix anything. PLEASE HELP ME :(

You need to find this screen

Then check the box that says "Use the following Statid DNS IP address"
Enter the Google DNS addresses ( 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 ) in the two spaces provided.

Called and complained again yesterday, they upped my appointment for today instead of the 18th. He got here and said they don't do anything with the settings they only fix the lines????? What was the point in waiting a week for a tech if they aren't going to do their job? I'm severely upset right now and need a solution please! My internet company will not help me
