Hello, so I really want to upgrade my AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series so I can actually play some games without having to minimize my screen to 4 inches, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out in uprading my current graphics card.

These are my specs:
-AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series
-Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz
Sadly, I don't know exactly which motherboard I have, but I believe its an [strike]Asus P6X58-E WS or an Asus P6T6 WS Revolution[/strike] GA-X58A-UD7

EDIT: After I've spent a couple of hours looking for a GPU, I found the Radeon R9 380x, I also found my motherboard, which is a gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7, so I was wondering, can the R9 380x fit in my motherboard? My motherboard has 4 PCi Expres 2.0 16x slots. The R9 380x takes up 2 slots.

Thank you in advance,
Daniel

Solution

yes it will fit, if your case is big enough to fit it

the problem is the power supply, a 380x requires at least a good 550w power supply

if you dont know, then open the case and look inside, post back with make and model
