Is an a6 7400k amd processor good enough?

For heavy streaming and browsing?
Or should I spend the extra 20$ for the a10 7700k?
On microcenter it's 65$ for the 7400k and a motherboard
and 85$ for the 7700k and a motherboard.
Just as a media center and to browse the Web and stuff, watch videos in 1080p. Nothing too hard. The only game would be like mine craft or the sims. It's for a friend that doesn't really play video games.
Whuch Do you guys think I should get?

Because it's an APU and APUs don't have that much computational power to begin with, I'm going to suggest the 7700K.

If you're used to the Intel i7 series, you'll be disappointed by the lack of raw power from AMD APUs. A quad core APU at 3.4GHz may feel like a quad core i7 at 2GHz.

However, since you're using it for light gaming and streaming, I think you'll be satisfied with it, because that's what it's optimized for.

Once AMD Zen comes out and we see some benchmarks against current gen Intel CPUs, you may want to create a new post here on Tom's if she wants to upgrade.
