Hi,

I've put together a build for a friend & I was wondering if some kind knowledgeable folks could look it over & see if it's decent & has any compatibility issues &/or problems? He's looking to get an Intel i7/Nvidia Pascal build w/ a cheap monitor & keyboard included in the price.

Also, PCPartPicker shows an incompatibility with the GPU & the NZXT Phantom 410. I'm guessing that will be no issue with one of the HDD cages removed?

Thanks.

Updated it Noctua HU14S. And yes the Cryroig has no price so i guess thats because its not sold in the UK.

That is a pretty decent start, I would change a few things around - mainly throwing out the expensive keyboard (you can always buy that later) and the thermal compound (which is not necessary) and investing in a better GPU:

Are you going to be doing any video editing or such? If not, an i6700k is overkill considering the mid range cpu. I have a similar budget to you and i can show you my parts if you wish that I'm planning on getting.

Hello everyone! I'm Boxanata's friend that's getting the PC. g-unit1111 thanks for the reply and yes changing the keyboard and removing the paste is a good idea. I see you changed some other stuff as well like the storage which id like to stay at 2tb as 1tb fills up fast, seen as I play a lot of MMO's that are 100's of GB on there own.
I would like to get the GTX 1070 without comprising the Memory, storage and cpu if possible. i noticed you removed my monitor as well. But I'm currently playing on a laptop so I have no monitor and obviously need one.

Hi Mike! Umm I don't think I will be doing video editing at all but obviously you never know. Umm yeah if you could post what you have built it might give me more ideas to play with. I did do a comparison between the i7 6700K and the i5 6700K and the i7 seems to be a lot better all around not just at editing. Or that's what I saw in all the YouTube videos I watched. Plus being i7 it will last longer without needing an upgrade.

That looks better but get a better cooler. There's definitely been better coolers that have come along since the 212 Evo like the Phanteks TC-12, Noctua NH-U14, and Cryorig H5, though I don't know if Cryroig is currently available in the UK or not.
