First off, I can usually solve these things after doing the proper Googling, frequently using this site to get answers, but I've run out of directions to go on this problem.

I built this PC with the Sapphire GPU 6 years ago and added the XFX last year, making the latter my main GPU, and running my third monitor off the Sapphire on it's own. They always worked perfectly fine together in windows 7 for the last year or so. I upgraded to windows 10 for the free upgrade and everything went fine for a week until I got the nasty Loop of Death with both the atikmdag.sys error AND the igdkmd64.sys error back and forth. It deleted all of my programs except chrome (luckily I keep all my files on a separate internal drive). I reset windows since all was lost anyway, and after that failed I found out the answer was uninstalling the GPU drivers in safe mode. Pulled that off.

When windows finally booted up clean it automatically installed Radeon Settings software as the default display driver. My new problem was my third monitor, the one being run alone by the Sapphire card was not on. In device manager it showed up but said that there is something wrong with device. So I went and installed the Sapphire driver for that card from this page on top of what was already there for the newer main card. When i booted back up all three monitors were on but I noticed that both Radeon Settings and AMD Catalyst software were running together and when I click on the Radeon settings it said something about not being able to open until I upgraded my AMD driver. The part that really confuses me is that there was no place to uninstall the Radeon software in the apps list, only the AMD Catalyst software was there to uninstall. I then uninstalled AMD Catalyst and both the drivers from the device manager display adapters because it seemed that this Radeon Settings software was attached to the driver. Then, before I rebooted I install the Sapphire driver from the last link because I'm pretty sure that was the software that had them working fine in windows 7. That got me the closest to my solution. I didn't have that Radeon Settings bullshit showing up but not doing anything anymore. I now have the AMD catalyst software running all three monitors BUT there are still a couple problems.

First, YouTube. I was always able to start a YouTube video on one monitor and drag it over to the one running on the Sapphire card without stopping playback. Now, not only does it stop playback and error but it errors when I have Chrome open on both the monitors, and if I only have chrome open on the Sapphire monitor it errors when I make it full screen.

Second, I tried to install the new AMD Crimson Software Update thinking that it would upgrade the main GPU driver but halfway through it says this to me "Your graphics card is not compatible with your current graphics driver. It is recommended that you continue using your existing driver as updating it can lead to unexpected errors. If you choose to update the driver, you must uninstall all incompatible graphics cards first." So, I hit cancel on that. As I'm explaining it it seems like a dumb idea. Clearly at this point I don't know what I'm doing and am just trying things, shooting in the dark.

I've run completely out of ideas guys. I have a strong feeling that either A) I never completely uninstalled all the right software or B) I installed the wrong things in the wrong order. I'm losing this battle and I need help. I depend on this PC to make a living and have really gotta get it back up and going asap. So, thanks in advance for any help.

Update; there are still some problems with using chrome on both monitors. When scrolling quickly on one screen while another tab is open on the other screen you get black out blinking and sometimes blank parts of one page. It seems like I still haven't done it right. I just don't know. Can anyone tell me if I should start over? Or if I'm close?
