Hi,
So i built my PC around January, here it is: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/CjPGBm
I have a 5820K processor which I believe is 3.3Ghz with 6cores, and a MSI X99A mobo and H100i GTX cooler.
The problem is, I have no idea how to overclock, I have seen people online with 4GHz+ on a 5820K but I don't know how, could somebody please provide a tutorial or lead me through the process of doing this.

Thanks in advance,
Wesley

Ok so thats way over complicated. The whole point in unlocked cpu's is to be able to overclock just by adjusting the multiplier and if desired adjusting vcore voltages to get as low as you can stable for the best possible temps. You Can overclock ram if you desire but it is by no mean required. If you are wanting to overclock the cpu as you clearly stated then you need to find a target mhz frequency you want and aim for it. Then once you have it little by little adjust voltage to get as low as possible so you produce as little heat as possible for best temps.

First, do you understand and accept the risks involved in OCing? What are your goals for OC? There are several steps on OCing Haswell-E platform depending on what you're going for. Generally, you want to get the max core speed first, followed by memory speed/timings, and lastly Uncore speed. Also, you need to remember that certain memory dividers generally only work with certain CPU BCLK straps. Some speeds work on 100 strap, while others are meant for 125. Of course, this has to be accounted for when adjusting multipliers. However, there are several voltages involved than need to be within a certain range to "play nice" together when combined with OCing. I'd look for tutorials for your specific board as a starting point. I could walk you through some manual steps, but settings would be different as our boards are two different manufacturers.
