I have always had laptops, and recently, with the release of some new games, and a lot of old, I have found that my "gaming laptop" doesn't get to the minimum requirements.
The current laptop I have is always stuttering, and pretty bad. All the components besides the GPU are all pretty good. I don't know much about building a computer, but I do have a friend who knows how to build one. The laptop I have right now is the Lenovo Y50. With the 860m gpu.
My budget is probably around 950 dollars I would say.
These are the things I have right now.

A keyboard
A mouse
A mousepad

I want to be able to play games at at least medium-high settings. I am not a graphics freak, I care more about smoothness than prettiness.

Can people tell me a list of all the components I should get? I would prefer nvidia than AMD because I have had better experience with them in the past.
Thank you!
I would like to be able to run games like Battlefield 1 at 60fps at around medium specs

Solution
It's 50$ over budget but you should have no problem doing anything on this at 1080p.

The only thing I would change from Titan88811's build is the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W to a EVGA SuperNova G2 550W. 550W is more than enough for any graphic card that is not in an SLI configuration, so why get an older 650W model?
