For the past couple of months I have sometimes heard a clicking noise coming from my case and I thought that one of the labels attached to my cord is being clipped by my case fan. Yesterday I opened my case and found out that the noise is coming from my CPU heat sink fan. The fan stopped spinning, but it had a jerky motion like something was preventing it from spinning. I tapped it a few times and it started to spin thus no more clicking noises. Earlier today I opened my case up and I noticed that the fan has completely stopped spinning. I cleaned my fan and heatsink (there wasn't very much dust) but my fan doesn't spin anymore.

I am wondering if I am able to find a replacement fan for my heatsink (Coolmaster Hyper Evo 212) or do I have to buy another heatsink?

Solution
you should be able to find a new cm fan but th cooler master hyper 212 comes with mouting brackets to add another fan if you want to so you could but a 120mm case fan and put it on the hyper 212
