Looking to upgrade from an AMD cpu FX 8350 to an Intel CPU. I mostly want better frames in MMO's like WoW and the occasional shooter muiltiplayer game. My current CPU has no problems running League of Legends and other games of that level of intensity but If I play World of Warcraft and crank the setting to Ultra my frames dip to 30 or even 20 at times. I basically am just saying I am about 99% sure my CPU is in need of an upgrade. My current GPU is an EVGA GTX970. I am between getting an Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3 GHz OR Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz. I also was considering upgrading the GPU to a 1070 but only if it will be a huge help to my frames, specifically in MMOs. Please any help would be appreciated I really want to make the right choice and have this rig last me another 3-5 years if possible! Also suggestions on good Motherboards and waht specs I should be looking for on them and what they mean in reference to gaming would be helpful as well as RAM specs and what they mean!

At the price point i wouldn't purchase an Open Box motherboard, as Ecky stated, I would recommend this board. If you have the budget, there is no reason not to upgrade your graphics card to a GTX 1070, but if you are playing the same games at the same resolution, a processor upgrade is all you need to give you substantially higher fps

I would recommend an i7 6700k over the i7 5820k, the 6700k would be better for gaming whereas the 5820k would be better for video editing etc. It should give you a huge performance boost from the FX 8350. Also, the GTX 1070 would be a large upgrade from the GTX 970 but i don't think your require it. First get the processor, if you plan on playing more demanding games or higher resolutions or more competitive frame rates get the GTX 1070.

Awsome, could you recommend a motherboard better than this one?

I was thinking of getting that to pair with the i7 6700k and do you have any recommendations for RAM? I would like two sticks of 8gb since I would like to stream at some point (maybe a year or two)

Also is 650W Corsair okay for this build? Thats what I am using at the moment.

A 6700k and a 1070 would greatly help your FPS. The new ultra, is more demanding than it was in WoD. 7, on the slider scale, equals Ultra, from WoD. What is your upgrade budget, and what do you need? Full system specs, of your old rig, may be useful as well.
