So long story short, I bought Shogun 2 Total War from steam. Have had nothing but constant issues. Slowly, I've been tackling each issue I've come across. The game no longer crashes, fully loads, doesn't give me error messages.

The last issue I'm left with is the graphics. I have a card that surpasses "recommended" and a relative beast of a PC for this game (fx-4100 quad core, 8gb ram). The game sets graphics to "ultimate" but everything is blocky. I set it to "high". Still blocky. I set it to medium and then low. All blocky and all with the other symptom of lagging excessively. I read that updating the Bios for my system is what would help make the game run properly. Does anyone know how I go about doing this?

I have a Gigabyte M68MT-S2 board with Award Software Intl, FB, 8/26/2011 BIOS.

Solution
download the bios. unzip it on newer mb there are bios updater built into the bios. go into the bios let it find and update the bios. after it enters windows go to amd and download the newest chipset drivers for the mb.
