So i was checking some cpus and found this Amd A10-7700K to gift it to a friend....
It has R7 7700K integrated graphics card in it.
Will it work even if i dont put a dedicated graphics card?
Will it perform better if i put a rx 480 in it?
Should i buy it with or without a dedicated graphics card or not?
Im getting confused with this "dedicated" and "discrete" graphics card someone halp?

Thanks :D

Hi, an APU (A10-7700k) includes integrated graphics, usually you would buy a CPU because of this feature. If you do not plan to have a dedicated GPU, or if your motherboard does not support a dedicated GPU because it lacks the PCI lanes/slots this is a decent choice (given that the motherboard supports that APU). My suggestion would be to pick a cheaper CPU with similar core performance and get a dedicated GPU to add to the motherboard for the best performance.

Hi,

Yes it will work without a dedicated GPU.
The PC will work better for heavy gaming with a dedicated GPU.

Now If you planning to gift a dedicated GPU then I would consider get FX or Intel CPU's + the GPU.

Dedicated is the same as Discrete. The difference is Discrete vs Integrated (Shares resources with the CPU) where in your case the Discrete is the RX while the integrated is the R7.
