Hi guys, I've had my MSI GTX 770 about 2 and a half years now and the Temps had been pretty good, with the max being 72c when on 111% power limit and OC'd on a mild fan curve. But that was until i decided to get a new case. I'd expect this case to be alot cooler than my Zalman Z11 as this one has two 140mm fans in the front with both blowing directly over GPU/CPU, although that wasnt the case. At first I thought it may have been the door at the front blocking most of the air but opening seems to make no difference to temps. The only thing different with this case other than the door is that both side panels are fully coated with this thick hard soundproofing materials which has led me to believe these could be somehow affecting temps. Instead of just ripping the things off I thought i'd ask someone with more knowledge than me on whether this is truly the case of the rising temps. BTW the temps on 70% fan speed rise up to 80c, around 86c when uncapped on MSI afterburner. What the hell went wrong haha.

Dumb question... Double check that the front fans are intakes and drawing in cool air.

2 140mm fans should be sufficient. But, the design of the case has restrictive side intake areas for the fans to work with.
One option would be to use stronger intake fans. The cost is usually higher rpm and subsequent noise.

The design of your GTX770 dumps hot gpu air into the case where case cooling needs to handle it.

If you have any graphics upgrades in mind, like to a more modern GTX1060 or GTX1080 you will do better.
Pick a card with a reference blower cooler that gets heat directly out of the case.

Are you using a air cooler or a all in one?

Soon I'm actuallly planning to upgrade to a GTX 1070 as the 770 is lacking behind massively, especially with its 2GB VRAM. I've thought about getting a Reference design 1070 but aren't they quite loud and not to mention Thermals aren't the best either, which can be troublesome when OC'ing. I have Corsair AF 140mm and 120mm in the front but they sound like a jet about to take off when reaching 70%+. Would fitting my Case with Noctua Fans be a better solution for Temps and noise levels?

Im guessing your asking about my CPU cooler which is a 92mm Arctic Freezer i11 cooling my i5 4670k. Thinking on it now I forgot to mention my CPU temps went up from 55-60c at 4.3GHz @1.25v to 68-73c when changing the case haha.
