Hello, this is my first post here so excuse me if I do something wrong :)

I'll start with my specs:

Case: Fractal Design R5
Mobo: Asus Z170-A
CPU: Intel i7 6700k
CPU-cooler: Noctua NH-D15
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance 2133 MHz
GPU: Asus GTX 960 Strix 2 GB OC
PSU: Corsair CX500M

(I do not have any prior overclocking experience)

Last week I tried overclocking though Asus AI Suite 3, but I stopped it before it finished because I wasn't comfortable with the temps.

Yesterday I tried it again and I let it finish this time. The program overclocked to 4,8 GHz, but it's the voltage I'm worried about. I'll attach a picture of the finished overclock, with a photo from my BIOS.

According to AI Suite the Max Voltage is 1,400 V, which I read is an acceptable voltage. But according to my BIOS the Core Voltage is 1,488?! That seems awfully high.

So I just wanted to check if this overclock is acceptable or if it will hurt my system if I continue to use it.

Am I better off just resetting to defaults? Or can I just lower the voltage in BIOS and it'll be okay?

Solution
Try lowering the voltage in the BIOS, AI Suite and the other software and BIOS oriented system OCing schemes all tend to set voltages higher than needed. Best way to OC is manually through the BIOS
